Holiday in South Africa

Hi,

 

I'm italian, this is my first post...I apologize for my english. I want to make a holiday in South Africa with my mountainbike. I ride dh, freeride and long travel trailbike. I'm looking for someone that organize bike shuttle and guiding in South Africa. I want to stay 10 days. I've heard something about Galoolies, Port Elizabeth, Western Cape region (i've don't undestand where is the Jonkershoek dh), Pietermaritzburg and Gauteng. Waht is the city or resort with the most beautiful dh/freeride route and shuttle service and epic enduro riding? Or the city with the biggest freeride movement? I would say go to Cape Town. Jonkershoek is there and Table Mountain. If you do a Google search on mountain biking in South Africa or in Cape Town, you'll find something, I'm sure. Enjoy!!

I dont think Port Elizabeth is a MTB city.

 

 

 

Christoff Sauser train in and around Stellenbosch, so it means something. If you are in Cape Town region, you will have plenty MTB routes and depending on your dates, even have some races with the locals.

 

 

 

I also know that the Epic day-trippers have guided MTB trips (like 3 days) etc.

But you should have enough mtb routes around the CPT area to cover for 10 days.

 

 

 

I also know that you can buy a little book with MTB routes in SA. Will try and get that link.

 

 

 

But it all depends the dates you come to visit. MTB Season is (I'm guessing) March to Aug/Sept (winter in SA).
