White anodised/powdercoated crank arms

Hey Hubbers,

 

You can anodize in white. Actually, you can anodize any color you want, it just costs to buy the dye. We in the paintball community have our paintball markers custom anodized often by Splash Anodizing Services.

I have personally had my paintball marker anodized by him, he offers amazing customer service and is quite skilled and won't stop until the product is perfect. Scratches are not a problem is they aren't too deep, they can be polished out, or sanded and then polished. The results will be amazing.

I am sure Mikes Bikes used to stock nice white Sugino or SR Suntour white SS cranks, for around R400. They were supplied from Dragons, the Giant and Santa Cruz agents.

oja and: i contacted that splash place and this is what they replied:

 

"Laat ek eers net verduidelik oor die wit. Wit is n "Fake" kluer. Aluminium kan nie wit gemaak word nie. Wat ons wel doen is om die aluminium n finish te gee wat lyk soos wit. Maar is ook n sagte silver."

mikes bikes het die volgende te se gehad:

 

If you want white mountain bike cranks in 170mm that only leaves us with Shimanos and we will have to have them custom sprayed .

These will also set you back R1200.00 excluding spaying and I would not recommend powder coating as the heat will damage themand the finish is not a pure white.
