Long time no jazz, feeling better already. This finger episode has definitely been a wake up call for me, no more stupid risk-taking.

Fixed gear bike drivetrains scare , as do disc brake rotors when it comes to lopping off bits!

As a chef, I cut the fleshy ends of two fingers off on some unfinished shelving in my kitchen a few years ago. the experience was not pleasant at all. Luckily no bone involved, so recovery, unlike yours, was relatively simple.

Hope you recover soon.

The hand is getting better, I was even able to wrap the handlebars. However the antibiotics have caused trots so bad that I'd be on Strava's top lists just by logging the trips between my bed and the toilet. But the bike is now complete and I still have some sick days left, so I got another one.
