So a few months down the line and it looks like the hubs are fine as long as you check the bearings and replace when necessary, which in may case is about every 600KM, bought 10 from bearing man,

I think these wheel manufactures put so much emphasis on weigh that they compromise on structure, which is fine if you do the maintenance, the guys that don't do checks and maintenance will be losing hubs

Next time you do this - before installation - FILL the bearing with good grease - this will mean removing the side seal with a small pick, and then replacing it afterwards. Don't worry if the bearing/wheel does not spin as nicely afterwards with no load -  it will work fine under load.

 

Should improve your bearing life somewhat.... at least measurably anyway.
