Awesome it feels pretty sweet to ride. The only thing I dislike about the bike is the handlebars seem slightly wide.

Also looks like the old Scott CR1 to me.

This is the yellow one I was thinking of. That is a 2005 model

I would suggest taking some measurements of frame amd compare to CR1 and Addict geometry. CR1 has a plush geometry compared to Addict. Remember measurements for seat tube and top tube are center to center. Head tube is top to bottom. Google is your friend.

The first CR1s did not have the plush geometry. They were Scott's race bike before the Addicts were launched. The CR1 became Scotts plush model from 2006 onwards

Not according to the owner,he didn't like the yellow and it had a few marks on.

I think it he changed it to 10 speed tiagra from 9 speed tiagra and it had some scott pro brakes on it before. I paid R6k excluding the Easton's ,as it came with scott afd wheels on.

Either way, you got a bargain at R6k.

Whoever did the paintwork, did a damn good job too.

He said tour de frans ? Is that how you spell it ? The bike stands me in at R 9500 with the Easton's new tyres fitting . I did the argus on a silverback and was very comfortable . Maybe the aggressive geometry might explain why I am finding it hard to get the set up right and get comfortable with the bike ???

The geometry is as follows, hopefully. Seat tube 55cm top tube 56cm head tube17cm.

Would that sound about right for either bike? Damn I am crap at this tech stuff.

How do I copy a quote and comment on a posted comment. Eish. Looking at the geometry of the bike. At 180 cm would I be the right height?

When you hit reply button at the bottom of a post it automatically copies the quote. The reply button on top of page gives you a blank reply. At your height that seems right size bike for you. I had a similiar sized Scott Speedster in large which had that sizing. Best is to get a proper bike fit like Ergofit or Cyclefit, Specialized BG fit as well. The bars on s large bike are usually a 44cm and at your height you should be comfortable as it helps you breathe better with chest more open. Happy miles.

Forget the tech stuff, just ride the bike. If it feels good, then you have a winner.

Good advice am loving the road. So much so have neglected my mnt bike.

One last question. :-) The bike came with road pedals and new cleats and shoes that are to big. I am using my mnt bike pedals and shoes. Is it worth buying a pair of road shoes ? Or a another pair of pedals.
