Review: PYGA OneTwenty 650

The idea behind the PYGA OneTwenty was to make a bike that you can ride just about anywhere, however you like and have fun. It's not meant to be a marathon or enduro racer or anything as serious as that. But I don't doubt that you can do exactly that with it while laughing the whole time.

Nice review.

On the point of rear travel use, how much sag did you run the shock with? I run the recommended 30% on my OneTen29, and find that I pretty much use all the available travel during hard-pushing rides, without bob being an issue.

Hey Martin, thanks for pointing that out, I forgot to add it in there. I made sure to run the sag at 30% as dictated by the guys at PYGA. I wonder if running it 35% wouldn't have done the trick. PYGA are a bit strict on this point, though.

Interesting.

I wouldn't run it much past 30%, to be honest. The risk of bottom-out damage is too high...

I'm sure going as high as 35% would result in a shock that will blow through it's travel and squad under load when hammering the pedals out of corners.

Stunner of a bike. Love the action photo!

Most probably. I have heard of some going more than 30% though, but I'm not sure how far they went. It's really not to say that 30% didn't work really well, though.

Can anyone who has ridden both give a comparison of the One Twenty 650 vs the One Ten 29?
