JJDT Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Need some help with spokes. My son had a broken spoke on his rear wheel, took the wheel in for the replacement of said spoke. The wheel in question is Shimano wheels (do not know the model) and do have flat spokes about 2mm wide. The wheel is with West Rand Cycles and apparently there is no stock with Shimano in SA and these need to be imported again. West Rand Cycles gave us a loan wheel because the ETA is the end of the month. It is all good but my son and I intend to ride the Tour of Durban and would really like to have the same wheels on the bike. I went to Cycle Lab Little Falls, Cajees and Wesdene cycles to find out if they do have the spokes in stock but these shops do not have.Anyone know where can I source some of these spokes? It feels like your car's spare wheel that is a steelie whereas the other are normal mag wheels, it does not look right.Pics of wheel.
