Sandspruit Trail from Corlett Drive to Grayston Drive

Has anybody done the Sandspruit Trail from near Corlett Drive to Grayston Drive, more or less parallel to the M1 North? Looks good on Google Maps but may be dodgy safety wise.

as far as I know properties and fences block it off, you can't get through.

And there is a lot of crime down there. My dad stays in a townhouse on the river near the Grayston bridge and they have 24hr patrols, double fences with guard dogs etc to keep crime out - and they still get in.
