My shoot last week with Charl, Hannes and their crew made me realise rather suddenly how pathetic my current MTB lights are, and that LED technology has advanced with leaps and bounds in the three years since I purchased my kit.

The 4x4 routes and new mountain biking single-track on Helderberg Farm (www.helderbergfarm.co.za) - courtesy of master trail builder Jan Van Schalkwyk - proved a dramatic backdrop for the shoot. Can confirm about the led vehicle lights.....have two 48W led spots (3W x 16) at the front.....enough light to put any Karoo vlakhaas in an immediate state of involuntary dioptrological musculoskeletal spasm reflex (aka potential "Road Kill").
