Valve extensions should run you about 100 bucks... I find the ones that you need to remove the valve core and then extend are the best. Depends, most lbs should supply them. The nice thing is, you can run normal 48mm conti tubes and they're cheaper than the log valve tubes normally. Also easier to carry spares. Mine are ryders if I remember correctly!

As for brake pads, lbs again! Although check with your cities chinese carbon wheels suppliers, they normally have carbon blocks in stock and at decent prices.

That's concept carbon wheels in jhb/pretoria, and darkhorse wheels, black spade, and a few others in Cape Town.

Oh! And it's a good idea to take your wheels in when you buy the extensions... Some of the valve holes are smaller than other rims, and extensions may not fit through comfortably... I struggled with a certain brand when using the American classics, so just make sure so you save yourself the extra trips...

Just checked in the box, got some brake pads for free..yippee!

Always good to turn the box inside out before throwing it away. :)

New carbon wheels are generally suppied with brake pads.

Most LBS's should cater for your future needs, otherwise the local eastern wheel suppliers should be able to help too.

Cheap pads are ±R100 - 150 (per pair) or you could go for the Swisstop type @ ±R600 a set.

As for the valve extenders, get the core screw type as already recommended and with the right diameter to fit your wheels.
