Interesting gadget usage for cycling/car

So just thinking that with most people having 'smart'phones/tablets what interesting ways do you use these in your day to day life relating to cycling/driving but not the usual 'bike computer' or GPS use?

 

Went out with a mate recently that's car has a pretty 'old fashioned' dashboard and he had his tablet on a mount and had some type of dashboard software loaded that showed speed, MP3 song info that was streaming, direction and a map including some weather and other stuff ....

 

Maybe say what device, operating system, software and whether it's free or paid

I know this was long ago but just thinking I see enough cars around with tablets mounted to know that some of you do [emoji41]
