GrantRH Posted June 21, 2014 Share Wonder if anyone can help? Will these Stans (http://www.cyclesonline.co.za/stans-ztr-arch-ex-29er-wheelset/) fit on a 2014 Speshy Epic? The only reason I ask is because the current rear hub has a 142+ spacing (see http://www.specialized.com/es/en/bikes/mountain/epic/14epicepicfsrelitecarbon#specs)
Timbeck22 Posted June 21, 2014 Share I run Stan's ZTR Gold's on my 2013 Epic, which also has a 142+ rear hub. They require a spacer to increase the width slightly which you can get with the wheels. Mine have worked perfectly, have been riding them for about a year.
Showtime Posted June 21, 2014 Share It will work fine. The 142mm spacing is the same. A normal 142mm hub uses the same flange spacing as a 135mm hub with the 7mm being added to the part outside the flanges. The 142+ makes use of the opportunity to make the actual flanges wider. So a 142+ might not fit on any frame but a 142 will fit on a 142+ frame.
GrantRH Posted June 21, 2014 Share Thanks all, so a spacer it is.
