Rapunzel Posted October 12, 2014 Share Maybe we need to look beyond the distance and elevation as to what makes a race tough vs easy. The route had a bit of everything - rocks, sand, climbs, singletrack, open road and technical and I found the level of "toughness" for the distance perfect. Beefy Posted October 12, 2014 Share I didn't find it tough! My problem was the amount of sand and it seems quite a bit of the time we were just going up and down and in circles to make up distance. avatar Posted October 13, 2014 Share loved the race, it was proper hard but good. I prepared myself for more climbing. Waterpoints was placed a bit weird, the first one was too early, second one I didnt see, third one was good. last bit of singletrack with the switchbacks werent designed nicely, they are off camber and loose sand. overall very enjoyable (oh, they didnt have enough beer at the bar) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
