Hi Guys, can anyone give some advise on which bike to buy? Am currently looking at the 2015 Scott spark 950, the 2014 Merida Big ninety nine 1500 or the KTM Phinx 3.29. Any guidance would be appreciated!!!!

don't know the specs of all the bikes you listed and assume they are similar?? If this is the case I would go for the Scott as I like the brand. A consideration should also be the bike shop where you buy (unless all from the same spot) as you will be going back for services etc

Neither and all. My Mr Miyagi advice would be to get a bike that you absolutely love, whether it be looks, feel or simple bragging rights ( +10pts for extra pimp factor). Sure you can read a review or 20, but a "good" bike won't make you want to go and ride.. your personally-loved and chosen beast of a mtb will.

My bike is a 10yr old frankenstein of sorts that that people blink twice at then look at me going "wow that's a... er... classic bike". Just makes it doubly satisfying when I bomb past them. I love it (might have muttered and given it a "good bike" pat from time to time)

If my heart-filled rant wont sway any decision. Just go try them all out. Done.

I bought a scott spark 910 2 months ago and have problems.

I get creaks and squeeks from my bike, local bike shop replaced pivots / bearings and tested the BB and according to them all fine but I still get the same creaks and squeeks!!! Very pissed off

had a similar problem, turned out to be my pedals, strange as the sound seemed to come from elsewhere on the bike
