Thanks Rockhopper Adventures - Corné

Hi Guys, I would just like to share my awesome experience with these guys.

 

The story:

 

Beginning of September I spotted a brand new Cannondale Lefty on here for cheap and just pounced on it immediately. I Quickly spoke to Corné from Rockhopper in Caledon WC, EFT'd the cash, he arranged for delivery to my inlaws in Cape Town (im in Gauteng).

All done and dusted, very good experience.

Then, in my excitement the following weeks (I was going to collect it in 3 weeks time only), i started checking what else I needed to make sure it all works on my existing Cannondale Trail SL. no biggy right? wrong lol.

 

In my infinite wisdom i overlooked the fact that Lefty's come in two different sizes...standard 137mm and XL 163mm - a referral to the space between the crowns. well...shock and horror, the lefty i just spent a substantial amount of money on, was the wrong size for my XL frame. Nausea ensued lol

 

Anyway, i phoned Corné fearing the worst, that he would tell me that it was basically my problem...because in actual fact,  it was.

He didn't though, quite the contrary.

He offered to check with the Cannondale distributors if they had a XL lefty in stock they were willing to swop for the one i was now sitting with. 

 

Not only did he take the time out of his own schedule to help me out like this, he also hooked me up with a better model than i initially bought from him...the XLsize carbon model, all while offering to take the other one back to sell it on his own account again.

 

WOW, all i can say. 

 

Words cant describe my gratitude for all his help .This was almost a very costly mistake from my side. 

 

It is really awesome to know that there are still people like Corné and Rockhopper adventures that will take time out of their busy schedules to help someone out...and all while they are busy setting up a new store in Somerset West.

 

We are moving down to Cape Town in the near future and ill definitely be sending  cycling related business their way.
