We have two training days... 1st and 2nd weekend in November. You are more than welcome to come and join it to Recce the new route
Wheelsuck Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Yeah agree with the Bike route, to avoid the mudfest, don't mind technical and tough but that black mud is just a mess. Faceplant Can you also look at making the run maybe a 2 lapper (so keep it as was) but an out and back, the running on that snaking single track, doubling back etc was not much fun (maybe because I was buggered by then). But in general a good race which is what we have come to expect with the races that you guys put on.

Ferret69 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Make the swim a lot shorter, like 1000m or even better take out the Swim But that's just me.. Did it last year, Loved it, even the Mud, Bike was super fast and run was properly challenging... I enjoyed the 2 lapper, at least made you feel like you were getting somewhere.... slowly Great race , I encourage everyone to get those Entries in.

Face Plant Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Hi MK yes you are always welcome to ride at the Peninsula however not all the direction boards are up permanently at this stage, all the boards will be up from the first week in November after which they will be in place till the event, so if you go before that and you see a board that says FICKSBURG 10Km you may have missed a turn off :-)

Face Plant Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 That's a better profile than lasts years Choppy ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 2nd swim lap Don't lie to me now haha with the weather we ordered its going to be like a mirror! jokes aside... although we trust the weather will be good, as you saw at the last event if the wind comes up on the dam it can get pretty choppy so come prepared! i can happily say though that the boys and girls from Eastern life saving didnt have to pull anyone out the water last year so we hope to have the same result this year! and yes boys the life guards in the red bikinis will be back again this year!
