Velocity Blunt SL. Wide, lightweight and strong. If you want wider, there is the Blunt, Blunt SS and Blunt 35 versions, all in different widths.

However, regardless of any rims, hubs, spokes you choose, the most important ingredient is a competent wheelbuilder.

Am classic 101 rim, same width as Crest , 21mm, but weigh same as A/C race rim, I weighed mine at 366gr per rim, more than 20gr lighter than Crest. They ( 101) also have the same weight limit as ZTR Arch rims and cost less than Crest/ Arch.

A/C race is also very good option, even wider at 23mm, but a bit less robust, and cost twice the price.

So, A/C race for great width and weight, A/C 101 for weight, price and strength.

PS, I have all have used all the above rims, so this is based on personal experience.

Wide lightings seem like a great option, as a wheelset they are lighter than Crest, but the actual rim is heavier ( this is what really counts, rotational weight), but Super wide and thus you can use a narrower tyre to get same/better performance.

The only post to answer the original question.
