11spd Super Record Shifters Help

I bought a 2nd hand SR 11spd group set to play around with,

 

I want to remove actual levers to do a custom spray job courtesy of (Bogus One), anyone know of a shop in cape town that can strip and rebuild them for me.

Seriously though, can't they just be masked off?

 

If not, some time ago I wanted to clear coat my carbon Centaur Ego levers (the coating was starting to peel). I had a good look at the levers and from what I saw it seemed to be a simple case of removing the cable and removing the small pin, under the hood, that holds the lever in place. The lever has nothing to do with the shifting, so there was nothing to go wrong. I never got to do the job though.

 

However, I wouldn't play with Super Record, rather get an expert. It could be expensive if you stuff it up.

I got a youtube tutorial on how to do it, but would rather prefer to sheeeeet on someone else then to kick myself for messing them up..lol
