New Hope Rear freewheel locks up

I got a new set of Hope Pro2 Evo Hubs QR. When I fit the rear wheel into the frame with the QR it locks up the freewheel as well. Looking on the exploded view of the hub, there should be a spacer between the end cap (QR Adaptor) and the bearing, but I see that even on the offical Hope hub servicing video there is no spacer.

Any ideas why it might be locking up? I have gone back to the supplier and they are going back to their suppler but don't have replies yet.

Hi Schizo, i have been using hope pro 2`s for a while now. If I remember correctly there must be a spacer between the freehub body and bearing to prevent locking up. On the hope website there is a youtube video showing the servicing of the hub, it shows the location of spacer. Hope this helps.

You are missing the spacer - go and visit Jason at www.thetrailhead.co.za - he will sort it out for you... for sure

The spacer you are most likely missing is between the freehub and the hub body, not between the QR adapter and the bearing - there is no spacer there that I can recall.

Yep - there should definitely be a spacer between the drive side wheel bearing and the freehub body.
