SPD cleats and carbon sole shoes

I need to correct the position of the spd cleat on my one shoe but the small teeth under the cleat have worn grooves into the carbon sole of my shoes. The moment I tighten the bolts, the cleat slips back into the incorrect position.

Any suggestions?
