Milosh Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Ok blind leading blind , but here goes Looking for the decent vs entry level one myself The size of you seat post is documented , google for your specs - eg 30.9mm It lowers ( drops) your seat height to something comfortable to do down hill and tech sections . lowering centre of gravity and enabling you to move your weight around.Than can be raised back up to efficient pedalling height. lever under saddle or a remote lever on handle bar. Seems like its between 3- 5k . Mulling the cost vs worth of one to ;-)

Whats a decent entry level one KS Supernatural for me but thats due to experience and a few Monday posts i have had before that. entry level giant post should be fine as an introduction to the posts. How will i know it will fit my bike its based on your seat post diameter, and if you are short your in frame vs drop height distance. How does it work BLOODY WELL!!!- basically for me any time i point the nose of my bike downhill i drop the post and swing my ass over the back wheel allowing a center of gravity and weight shift. How is it activated under saddle lever( SUICIDE HANDLE) or a remote mounted on the bars What does it cost new from about 2k, some cheaper if you can find them up to about 7k thanks to the weak R And is it worth it. once you have ridden and got used to a dropper post you will never be able to confidently ride a bike again without one. the benefits for me are worth 10 times the price( no i would never pay that but you get the point). i sometime find myself looking for the drop on my road bike.
