I got this email from them and was wondering if it is worth doing it.?How much is a CSA day license and who is going to do this invitational race?

 

 

BOUCKAERT & SOENEN INVITATIONAL ROAD CYCLING EVENT

In partnership with PPA, Paarl Rotary & Cape Winelands Cycling

Race Rules:

 

1)      Cycling South Africa (CSA) Commissaires will be in control of the invitation race.

2)      Riders will be invited to compete in the Bouckaert & Soenen Invitation Road Race.

The list of invited riders will be sent to the Invitational Race organisers by Wednesday 21 January 2015.

3)      The race will be over a distance of 126 km and the race will start at 06h15.

4)      Cycling South Africa and UCI rules will apply.

5)      SIGN ON: Sign on / Registration will be from 05h00 – 06h00 on the day of the race.

6)      RACE NUMBERS: All riders competing in the Invitation Race will receive a race number at sign on. These need to be returned after the race.

7)      CSA licences: Riders will need to show their 2015 CSA licence cards at sign on.

Riders that do not have a 2015 CSA licence card will need to take out a DAY LICENCE.

8)      WHITE LINE RULE: There is no road closure; the white line rule will apply. Riders crossing the median line will be disqualified.

9)      If any juniors are invited, there will be gears checked before and after the Invitation Event.

10)   SUPPORT VEHICLES:  A maximum of four (4) Team support vehicles will be allowed. Registered Top Club Teams can e-mail a request for a team support vehicle on the day to:

All team support vehicles must have a person with a valid 2015 Cycling SA Managers Licence. This licence must be available and checked by the commissaire on the day.

11)   NEUTRAL SERVICE VEHICLE: One Neutral Service Vehicle will be available. All riders that do not have a service vehicle can make use of the services of the Neutral service vehicle.

12)   PODIUM: The first 3 riders must be available for podium – Time: 11h00.

Riders must be dressed in cycling clothes.

Likely an invite for all A/B riders..... Note sure about the logic although comms and bike marshals that actually do their job will be a nice change from the norm.

 

Kinda like a league... now there's an idea  :whistling:
