Question - road shoe holes

It's for the often never used clear position retaining clip.

There is a little grey clip you can screw in there that fits between the shoe and cleat to ensure exact placement when replacing cleats.

I could never find a screw that fit, so just used tippex and marked the cleat position.

Oh. And to stop it, just shove some epoxy or glue in there and it'll stop the rattling.

Some paper jammed in there works too if you're bothered about the glue, but it comes unstuck in the rain.

That sounds complex. Is there a way to stop it from sliding forwards and backwards under my cleat? It's really annoying.
