For men: what is the best saddle/seat to protect your "Johnson"

There is a lot of advice like the following:

  • Don’t tilt your seat upward, a position that increases pressure on the perineum.
  • For extra protection, consider wearing padded biking pants.
  • Raise the handlebars so you are sitting more upright.
  • Shift your position and take breaks during long rides.
  • etc, etc...

But no one recommends a specific saddle/seat.

Any recommendations on brands or types of saddles/seats that is best for protecting your "Johnson"?

Seriously,

1.) get good shorts and

2.) put your hand down and move your tackle forward. That way you dont sit on it. Simple idea but very effective....

Saddles are very personal - depends how big your nads and ar$e are mate. I love Specialized. But I am not a small beam guy so I use the widest I can get - they have just brought out a 160mm + size.

Happiness.

  • Test saddles are great.
  • A good saddle is not necessarily a comfortable one from the beginning. All depends how you feel after a few hours on it.

If in doubt, go Gobi. I recon it works for 90% of people. Unfortunately, the other 10% hate and despise them.
