MintSauce Posted February 25, 2015 Share Hi All, I fitted a set of Specialized Turbo Pro 25c tyres to my bike at the beginning of November. This week I noticed lines running along the circumference of the rear tyre. Please see attached pic. Seems to me like some sort of separation between two different tread compounds. The tyres have done somewhere between 1000-1500km. The rear is beginning to square off as they normally do, although not normally at this low mileage. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? What sort of mileage are others getting from these specific tyres?
droo Posted February 25, 2015 Share Named after a mountain biking sheep, yet riding many miles on a road bike. I am disappoint. To answer your question though, road tyres should last a lot longer than that. 1 000 km is 2 months of riding. Have a chat to SJ at the Spez concept store, he'll know what to do about it. G e r h a r d Odendaal Posted March 22, 2015 Share The Armadillo is a fantastic puncture resistant tyre, looks gorgeous too. The Espoire Elite is also a good training tyre. I love both Edit: spelling Edited March 22, 2015 by Gerhard Odendaal
