Looks like good fun,I tried something similar December when I rode my normal 26" from Uilkraal toe Pearly Beach.

 

Almost turned into a triathlon with lots of walking and nearly a swim when I got klapped by a big wave.

 

Decided I'd only try it again someday when I have a fatbike.

Yep it is hard work with a normal bike. Takes all the fun out of it :-) having a blast here with the fatbikes!!
