Total Trek Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Lately, I have noticed guys on Strava riding trails on the koppie dividing Olympus and Wapadrand in Pretoria East. The trail looks like it starts within a security complex close to the corner of Lynnwood and Solomon Mahlangu drive. Does anybody have any information regarding the accessibility of the trail? This is ridiculously close to home and I haven't noticed any MTB'ers turning in there while out riding. Looks like fun.

Total Trek Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 No definitely not Hedianga. This one is not even a kilometer away from Solomon Mahlangu whereas Hedianga is another 4km or so East of that.

It's a country estate where they've built some amazing trails.in the back is more pvt land with the best technical riding iv ever had.need to know how to handle a bike! Rocky climbs and awesome descends with drops and a very steep pallet section which launch chest you off the bottom at incredible speed! Have ridden it a few times and done an event there . great trails! However you need a contact on the inside to be able to ride there.
Grondpad Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 The other day a riding buddy told me that in the past they headed over the koppie at Wapadrand (Diep-in-die-berg) to the Zwavelpoort plotte (Heienga area). But the property owners locked the gate and they stopped riding it. Maybe its open again? I will ask him to go and show me where they rode and maybe it’s this spot

Trails sake past people's houses and it would become a security risk...look out for the rotsvas challenge. ...its a free event and will allow you to ride the trails.should be in the later stage of the year....look on Facebook for 'rotsvas community'

They do invite guys once in a while, even have an event with limited riders sometimes. As for me, the place is too hectic for my current skill levels. I saw vids of guys going down the pallet section, and accross the narrow bridges - some serious riding.
