I ride a Silverback Vida 1 with an XT drivetrain, SLX brakes and a Fox Float fork. I ride about 500km/month consisting of 50% tar, 40% easy trail and just a little heavy mud/water.I have a basic understanding of how to adjust derailleurs so when they misbehave it's not a problem. I'm just worried about the rest. Bearings etc? How often should I be taking her in for a service?
droo Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Every 100 hours of riding. That's my 2c. A pretty good rule of thumb if you know the basics.
Bloukrans Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Am I being impatient here? Dropped my mtb last Friday morning at lbs for tubeless conversion, service Rockshox and major service. Was told this afternoon after I phoned them yet again that they still waiting for shocks from agent. Maybe I just missed my bike to much but is this turnaround time reasonable? Cycle safely out there
droo Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Earliest that fork could have got into the workshop would be Monday afternoon, add 5 - 7 working days turnaround and you're well over a week. If you don't have it back by this weekend, start chasing.
