On my garmin fenix i want to use a garmin speed /cadence sensor ( just the cadence part) but seems it disables my gps as when i record a session the distance stays at 0?

Any advice? I presume its cos the speed magnet is not on and device sees me as standing still? How do i disable this?

Little confused here. Why not just add the magnet?

Don't think you have the option to split the speed censor and cadence option.

Not to high-jack this thread, but it also involves Garmin products.

I have a Virb camera and a Garmin 800 cycle computer.

If I mount the Virb on the handlebar next to the 800 on the stem and switch Virb on to record, it also disables my 800 GPS.

I then mounted the Virb on my helmit  and the 800 works fine.

Could not figure that one out.......
