Calooker Posted June 10, 2015 Share Can I use a 11 speed Shimano DA Shifter with a 10 speed Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur?
shaper Posted June 10, 2015 Share Does not work, 11spd has a different pull ratio to 10spd. You will need an 11spd RD https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/148454-mixing-1011-speed-parts/ http://blog.artscyclery.com/science-behind-the-magic/science-behind-the-magic-drivetrain-compatibility/
Broker Posted June 10, 2015 Share Should not be a problem as long as you use 11 spd cluster and chain. Movement of the derailleur are determined by the shifter. You might have to change the two wheels on the derailleur to take the 11spd chain, although I don't think it will be necessary Just read the thread as indicated above and I learned something. Was not aware of the so called Pull Ratio difference between 10 and 11 spd. Works perfectly with 9 and 10 spd.
