Saddle rail help

Have a fizik Antares that I love but have bought a new TCR advanced with ISP. The bike came with a crap saddle with carbon rails. But my fizik won't fit as the carbon rails that fit on the seat post are much thicker and slightly oval. Is there some sort of adapter or a way to make it fit. My Fizik has kium rails. Thanks

some seatposts have a removable adaptor to fit both types of rail but ill bet your one isn't reverse adaptable to kium rails (on the principle that they already gave you carbon rails why would you "go backwards')

check with the retailer that sold you the bike first

if not that means either a new saddle or a new seatpost

fizik also make their saddles with carbon rails so maybe a new saddle makes more sense

It's one of those solid carbon no padding jobs that came on the bike. So it's killing my rump. Would love to get my Fizik on there even if no carbon rails, but seems I will have to spend another 3 grand for a decent carbon rail saddle

only suggestion would be to sell both your Antares and the new one to take some sting out the price of a new carbon rail one

or adapt your ass to the new one (that's rubbish advice I know im real fussy about saddles also ) but maybe jiggle the angle and height a very little and you can find a spot that works for the time being and console yourself that you have a really cool bike and a slightly numb ass :whistling:

I think Dragon Sports are still the agents for Giant. There has to be an adaptor. Most carbon rails are oval as opposed to round kium rails. If you are thinking of getting a new saddle the Antares carbon rail is cheaper than the more expensive Antares 00 and weight difference is negligible. I love my Anatares 00 and it was worth every penny spent. Checkout www.bike24.com for great prices. Way cheaper than other online shops. I posted a thread about buying from them in Buyers Guide.

Managed to get a new ISP seat clamp from dragon sports although 5 bike shops could not and assured me it was not a part that is avaliable. But problem solved. Thanks all.
