Merida Big 9 20MD vs. Silverback Spectra Sport vs. Momsen AL129 (2014)

Hi,

 

I'm thinking of getting more into mountain biking and I'm looking for a decent entry level bike.

 

I've found three options that look like they're value for money, but to be honest I have very little idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

The three I've found are:

Merida Big 9 20MD - R5,000
Silverback Spectra Sport- R5,600
Momsen AL129 (2014)- R6,000

 

Which of the three would you recommend?

Silverback spectra is a good choice..

I have very recently bought a 2015 AL129 and I really like it ! Being an SA designed bike it's also a little patriotic. No idea on the others though, I am sure they will do admirably too.

 

Try and test ride them to be sure.
