kosmonooit Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Event Name: Hearts Into The Future Fun RideWhen: 24 September 2015Where: Sacred Heart College, Observatory, Jhb, GautengCategory: RoadThursday 24th September 07h00 for a 07h30 start The 2015 Hearts Into the Future Ride encourages people of all ages to cycle a route around central Johannesburg connecting them with our past - specifically our heritage of tolerance and respect for all people enshrined in our Constitution. The ride is aimed at reflecting on our past and our hopes for the future as well as raising awareness about Xenophobia and the need for us to combat the ever growing racial divide and unwillingness to help those in need. Entry to the ride is free and participants are encouraged to come dressed up in their countries' colours / theme. When you register you will have the option to donate towards the 3to6 project, a programme for refugees managed by Sacred Heart College (for more information visit 326project.com) and the Bicycle Empowerment Network (BEN)). Bring a friend, bring your family and if you like, stay along for the Sacred Heart Music Festival in afternoon. More information on the significance of the route/ locations to come. The route will start at Sacred Heart College leaving at 07h30 (Directions here). Parking is available at Sacred Heart College Fields off Eckstein St. The route will travel through Observatory down Kallenbach Drive towards the Satyagraha House in Norwood, riders will then make their way to the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory heading back up Munro Drive past King Edwards XVII and back to Sacred Heart College.
