Polar Windows 10 interface via IR stick

I had a very interesting discussion today at Polar HQ in  Midrand.

I have updated my operating system to Windows 10 ( seems very stable with added benefits.) Problem appeared when I tried to download my data to both Polar weblink as well as polar trainer for my RS800CX.

For those not familiar with Polar this model has JUST been surpassed by the latest and greatest!

 

Anyway back to the storey the two do NOT interface.  I trotted of to Polar to be educated on how to do it and was told-" sorry does not work" I then asked what the progress was in correcting this and was told "Polar overseas is not interested as that unit is old technology you need to buy a new unit."

 

So throw away two units that work very well, mine and my wife's, new watches, sensors etc. etc.

 

And Polar wonders why Garmin is eating their market share??????

 

The sad part is the points we get from Discovery are sourced from Polar's weblink
