I really truly appreciate the insight into your world of cycling and i have seen you guys at last years DC (i think there were two groups with mtb's) but you guys ALL look strong and fast. I wil definitley give it a try and then take it from there. It comes at a hefty price and I must certainly will have to budget for this but if it is fit for purpose then i guess the cc will go ching a ching lol. Lets wait and see till then.

No probs - the hub has many benefits, one of them being able to share experiences with products.

This saddle is a racing saddle and comes in at 150 grams, but you'll definitely be able to get one of the "fatter" siblings, still the same basic design, etc - for a lot cheaper. For example the M3, which retails around R1 950.

But, I say again, this saddle is a winner for me, others might differ.

Finding the correct saddle is like, winning against Japan - easier said than done !

Just to add my pennies worth, I had my sit bones measured to start off correct, knowing that mistakes can be expensive. Bought a Spez Body Geometry Phenom and my sit bones died a hundred deaths before after 5 months, it suddenly "settled" down and felt ... ok.

Then decided to try a Fizik Arione just because I got the opportunity, which is much narrower than my measured width.

Took to the thing like a duck to water. Felt mildly uncomfortable for the first ride and thereafter perfect.

So ... agree wholeheartedly with the earlier comments. You have to put your "treasure chest" through the ringer and hope to find what works for you.

Now ... DC here I come.

Thanks and point taken.
