New bike

We had all of our bicycles stolen about two weeks ago, hoping to get money from the insurance and if we do 

we are looking at new bikes.

My question is that they were all 26 inch wheels, so whats the best to go for now, either a 27.5 or a 29er

There are pros and cons to both.

It's a matter of personal choice.

I went from a 26" to a 29". At first I found the 29r hard to peddle on the up hills, however I soon became used to the bigger wheels and thoroughly enjoy my ride.

I think a 27.5 is a little more agile in tight corners, the 29r rolls better over rocks, stumps etc.

Try to ride both before you decide.

My wife's friend rides a 279, it has a 27.5 rear wheel and a 29 up front. Quite a nice setup for a lady.

thanks for the advice, i will be mainly doing single track, forest roads.
