After looking a little more carefully I can see that I could make a plan with most of the special tools.....except maybe the special bleed tool which has fittings I can't easily substitute.

 

Crow's foot sockets are not essential ....I can do a makeshift torque wrench with an open ended spanner and a spring balance for the smaller sizes. Will order the parts and give it a go.

So it turns out that they won't be repairing my post but replacing it with a new one when I will get it now is another story.
