If the damage is more than cosmetic it might not be worth repairing.  I have yet to see a repaired carbon rim that will successfully true.

Has anybody on this forum had success with repairing an exhaust-melted rim?

I have yet to see any rim repair that has restored the wheel to 100%.  They become almost impossible to true due to the loss of flexibility in the repaired section.  Just my experience.
