Silverback Monza advise

I'm looking to buy a road bike. (my first one)

I'm looking into the following:

2013 Silverback Monza (56cm) Carbon

- Shimano Ultegra 6601 groupset

- Mavic Kyrium Elite wheels (gatorskin)

- Fizik Arione saddle

- Deda Ultra seatpost

 

For R10 000

 

Is this a good buy? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

They are good bikes, good value for money. The Monza didn't exist in 2013. By then, Silverback had changed its name to the Strela Concept. In fact they dropped the Strela Concept too. It may have been in 2013, I cannot remember. What I'm saying is, Just double check on the age as the seller may be misleading you.

 

It is possible that it was an older model that was only sold in 2013.

 

R10k is a reasonable price if it has full Ultegra. The factory Monza was equipped with the lower spec 105.

 

If it was my money and condition was good, I would take it. Maybe negotiate a bit.
