Rock Shox Reba SL- leak from dampner blow-off valve

So, I was servicing my forks the other day and all went well until I noticed that oil is leaking out of the dampner lock-out blow-off valve. I didn't adjust or fiddle with the dampner or attempt to take it apart. I have checked the fork with the gate open and shut, but it leaks regardless. I have previously removed my remote lock out but the leak didn't occur until now. Any ideas?

There are seals around the lockout and floodgate mechanism.  Often a good clean and lube is enough.  To get to them you have to remove the top cap from the damper cartridge (NB left hand thread).  Bit finicky getting it all back together with everything in the right position.  Droo at Stoke Suspension Works is your man.

There's dirt in a seal somewhere. Like David said, the topcap thread is left handed - take the damper apart, clean the seals (replace if they're O-rings) and reassemble. Crown mount lockouts are easier to reassemble than the remote ones, but shout if you have any issues. I don't charge (that much) extra if you bring me a bag of parts.

Thanks for the advice David and Droo. My damper is like the one in the picture below. Is this left-handed threaded top cap the 10mm sized cap on the bottom left of this damper? Is it the part that turns when the remote lock out is locked? If so, I gave it a try but it would not move more than to the locked position.  Maybe I need to be a bit more forceful. http://www.treefortbikes.com/images/raw/brs3917.jpg

Nope, it's the 24mm that you take the damper out of the stanchion tube with. Hold the red part, turn the 24mm clockwise and remove.

Aha, got it.
