Unless that runner is also in the middle of the road like you - which way is he going to swerve?A  bit of topic but my point really is the element of uncertainty introduced when someone moves against the flow of traffic.

If a BOX wants to run in the middle of the road against traffic on a blind corner then I will flatten that BOX!!

 

I have had a high speed collision with a pedestrian before. Lets just say that when our heads collided, I was the one wearing a helmet.
