RockShox Agents - Gauteng

Does anyone have an idea who the agents are for RockShox are in Gauteng, JHB specifically?

Bought a SID RL in Sept last year but the lockout (OneLoc system, cable actuated) isn't working anymore. Alternately has anyone else had the same issue and what did you do to resolve it?

Is the lockout lever not working or is the cable pulling but the fork not locking out

The cable pulls when pushing the remote lever, into the 'open' mode. You then push the remote lever to 'lock' the fork. Cable moves back and forth as expected but the fork doesn't lock. Travel is the same in both modes.

Unfortunately the fork must go to your lbs, who will send it to Cape Town for any warranty stuff. Spokeworks used to be the agents, but they gave up towards the end of last year

mmmm are you 100% sure the cable pulls at the point where it exits the housing close by the fork...test it by removing cable from fork by loostening the grub screw. Problem with cable lockout out types are the grit and grime for usage builds up in the housing and around the cable and it makes it eventually impossible to use. Normally new cable and outers solve the problem

Rouxtjie, yip tried that already. Cable moves freely. 

 

Sucks big time. Pretty poor that they don't have an agent in such a major centre.

 

Also saw a youtube video where the chap pulled out the damper to show that there is a spring inside which could possibly pop out of position. But I'm not keen on pulling it apart while it is still in the warranty period.
