Lockout not working

We bought an old K2 Razorback Team (seems to be a 2005) and took it to the local bike shop to get serviced. Got it back today and everything seems to be fine, the old guy at the shop ran through everything, showed that everything worked (including the lockout, though it took a couple of tries) but now the lockout seems to have stopped working.

It seems to be original stock, a Rockshox Duke Race fork with Motion Control Damping. Since it is our first bike and I know absolutely nothing about them, I thought I would ask here first to see if there is some kind of easy fix or if I should take it back. Or am I just doing something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated!

The lock out usually does not work if there is not enough oil in the fork or (like yours) there is a remote which can also not be working right - dirt, tension etc.

Question is did the shop service or work on the fork?  Most do not do it in house and a service on that fork would be R1000+ so you should see from the invoice.  Unless you are a hands on type it is not really a DIY fix.

Ah, okay. No, the service was less than R500 and I am definitely not a hands-on type. My brother is so I might ask him to take a look. Thanks for the reply!
