BB How long should they last

Hi Ice Cream.

Yes , for us to ride at  the same speed as a person that weighs 70KG we have to put down a lot more Watts, this extra power and weight contribute to faster wearing parts, Back tyres, chains and cassettes in particular.I have broken 4 MTB frames

 

I get about 1000KM from a MTB chain and about 2200km on a road bike chain.

 

So my thinking was that the BB after 6500 Km was shot, but I took it out and it feels smooth, BB noise is an abyss of possibilities, 

 

I clean and lube that bearing often, never power wash and keep it dry as possible, this may also extend the life, but the PF30 too me is better than the BB30 or BB92, I think that shell it come in adds to the life, I have a BB92 on another bike and it does not last as long as the PF30, maybe that is just luck.
