Titan Comp 6061

Hi, I am new to the 'bike world.' I recently got a Merida mountain bike and am loving it. My boyfriend is now also interested in starting. He was looking at a Titan Comp 6061. Is this a good bike? Thanks:) Sarah

I would rather buy second hand , If he doesn't like it he can sell  it for almost the same price , if he does like it he got a lot more "bike" than he would buying new for the same price.

If that bike is 2nd hand I would say no - rather spend a bit more money and get somthing with Shimano Deore or Slx componets,
