Polar V800 back light flashing

I woke up this morning to find my trusted V800 flashing at me. The back light went on for about 2 seconds and off again. When I asked Polar, they wanted me to send it in for repairs. Further research on the Polar website suggested a soft reset for syncing problems. I tried this and it worked. Simply hold in 4 buttons (light, back up & down) for about 5 seconds. No worries all settings remain. Perhaps a good idea to sync to Flowsync beforehand.
