ALL MOUNTAIN ENDURO - SIMONSBERG TRAILS

Sunday 13 November 2016

Venue: Delheim Wine Estate, Knorhoek Rd off the R44 near Stellenbosch

Start time: 08h30 & registration opens at 06h30

Enduro Riding (5 Stages):

The concept is a lot of fun – riders get timed only on certain sections, which make a very social event, especially at the refreshment station where they re-group. The atmosphere is relaxed with no rush anywhere, except when you gun it between check points!

Timing: Have to own an Amarider Trail Tag. R100 or take a yearly Amarider membership of R225 and a Tag is included

Trail Tags will be used at all Dirtopia events (MTB & Trail Runs) like Die Burger MTB Challenge, Amarider 100Miler, Spur MTB Classic etc. and more Enduro events.

Watch out for the TAG POINTS at the beginning & end of each stage.

Pre-entry cost (Pre-entries closing the 8 November):

R350 for non-members and R330 for Amarider members

Red Bull @registration included for all, plus refreshment station with fruit, Powerade, nuts etc.

Product prizes from CSIXX, Leatt, Giant, Falke and great Delheim wines. Medal to finishers (if you want one!)

NOTE: less admin for you - if you have done our Enduro’s before, we can add your details to the list if you send us an email with your proof of payment. Unless any of your important details like medical info has changed... please let us know.

RECOVERY MASSAGES available.

Directions to the venue: Visit www.delheim.com

The Simonsberg Trail system that is managed by Dirtopia have had some more trail work since last year, so don’t miss a weekend of events with a Trail Run, a MTB funride, a nightride and an All-Mountain-Enduro!

So today I learnt that:

1) excitement can get the better of you at the first stage (SS1) & cause you to go too hard & come off the bike.

2) I really struggle on soft powdery trails. Wow.

Enjoyed the challenge though. Thanks for arranging the event.
