OK, firstly, I admit it, I'm lazy. Too lazy to look for the manual.Embarrassed

I have a 2008 (the skinny) Rock Shock SID World cup fork. I weigh between 72 (racing) and 75 (fat)kg. How hard should I pump the shock?

While I'm at it how hard should I pump my Fox RP23?

10-15% sag.

Put a cable tie on your front stanchion and when you get on your bike it should "sit" 10-15% of the total travel.

Your rp23 should have a rubber o-ring that you can do the same with.

Leave the cable tie on and go for a ride and check what travel you had. The cable tie should ideally have travelled all the way without bottoming out too hard. You would feel this.

Shock pressure is as personal as tyre presure.

wash the damm thing, all it requires is a little soap and h20 then afterwards you can go and play in the mud to get it back to its normal state
