Why not just cut the steerer flush with the stem and eliminate the need for a spacer on top? The fork itself originally came with a steerer that was too short for the frames headtube. Bought it used. But I was helbent on making it work. So...

I managed to source a new crown assembly for the fork. So now it has a new steerer. Thanks Droo. Its too long though. So I WILL cut it. But you can see why I'm reluctant.

Don't want to cut it too short for future proofing. I might just wanna change frames down the line or something.

Anyways, I drew the diagram for a friend and he made that spacer for me. I'm still waiting on it though as he sent it down from pta. Hoping that I can file it smooth so it fits. Otherwise. I'm going to get some carbon spacers to play with. They should be easier to cut and file by hand.
