Which vitamins and minerals?

Well, here's my 2c's worth. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue / exhaustion a few years' back.

The doc (combo heart surgeon/physician and endocrinologist) suggested i take the following:

1. Multi-stain probiotics (max strength);

2. Zinc-selenium combo (eg "Zinplex");

3. Esther C;

4. Dr Vogel Base Powder;

5. Omega 3's ("Best 4" brand); and

6. Solal Burnout (for obv reasons).

The above got me healthy again.

Specific advice for a specific patient suffering from specific symptoms. Hardly usable for general use. Just like my zinc and magnesium for which I have specific reasons.

Thanx for all the answers hubbers. But perhaps I should rephrase my question to read:

Which supplements can be bad for one’s health if taken in excessive quantities?

(my juffrou in standard 7 told us that some vitamins are “soluble” and therefore harmless since excess leaves via the bladder. Others are “not soluble” and they are the baddies.)

Huh ???

Go for a blood test and find out if you deficient in any specific vitamins, pumping in loads of vitamins and hoping for a result is a waste of money.
